The Border Security Force (BSF), India's primary border defence organisation, has invited applications in a prescribed format from eligible Indian nationals (Male and Female) for filling 1763 Constable (Tradesmen) vacancies in various trades to be appointed across the Indian sub-continent. The notification towards the same was published on 18 January 2019. All applications must be submitted on or before 23 February 2019. (Tentative)
The recruitment will be for various trades for Male comprising CT (Cobbler) - 32 Posts, CT (Tailor) - 36 Posts, CT (Carpenter) - 13 Posts, CT (Cook) - 561 Posts, CT (W/C) - 330 Posts, CT (W/M) - 253 Posts, CT (Barber) - 146 Posts, CT (Sweeper) - 389 Posts, CT (Waiter) - 9 Posts, CT (Painter) - 1 Posts and CT (Draughtsman) - 1 Post; and for Females CT (Tailor) - 2 Posts totaling to 1763 vacancies.
Age Criteria And Fees
Desirous candidates applying for the post of Constables (Tradesmen) through BSF Recruitment 2019 must have attained 18 years of age as on 01 August 2019, and not exceeded 23 years with a relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved candidates as per the Govt. of India rules.

Educational Criteria
Desirous candidates applying for the post of Constables (Tradesmen) through BSF Recruitment 2019 must have qualified Matriculation/Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University. He/she must have minimum 2 years of work experience in the respective trades, OR must have obtained a 1-year certificate course from ITI of Vocational Institute with a minimum 1 year of experience in the relevant trade, OR must have a 2-year Diploma from ITI in the relevant trades.
Selection And Pay Scale
The selection of candidates as Constables (Tradesmen) through BSF Recruitment 2019 will be done based on a written examination and interview.
Candidates selected as Constables (Tradesmen) will be paid in the scale of Rs. 21,700/- - Rs. 69,100/- per month.
