The Regional Institute of Education a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi, has invited applications for admission to various Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programms being conducted at RIE at Ajmer (Affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University), Bhubaneswar (Utkal University), Bhopal (Barkatullah University), Mysore (University of Mysore) and Shillong (North Eastern Hill University (NEHU)). Admissions will also be made to Prarambh School for Teacher Education Jhajjar, Haryana. Courses: The courses offered by RIE's are the following. 




(i) B.Sc.B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated)-all RIEs except Shillong (ii) B.A.B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated) - all RIEs except Shillong (iii) M.Sc.Ed. (Six Year Integrated) - Only RIE Mysuru (iv) B.Ed. (Two Year) - All RIEs (v) M.Ed. (Two Year) - all RIEs except Shillong (vi) B.Ed.-M.Ed. (Three Year integrated) - Only RIE Bhopal. The courses offered by Prarambh School for Teacher Education Jhajjar, Haryana are B.Sc. B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated) and B.A. B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated). Jurisdiction: The States coming under the jurisdiction of each RIE is as follows: RIE Ajmer: Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, National Capital Territory of Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand RIE Bhopal: Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra RIE Bhubaneswar: Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal RIE Mysore: 




AndhraPradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Telangana, Tamil Nadu NERIE Shillong: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura Eligibility for different RIEs: Admission to M.Sc.Ed (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) at RIE Mysuru, is open for applicants from all states. For admission to B.Ed-M.Ed.(integrated) programme offered by RIE, Bhopal, candidates from all states can apply. 




Those belonging to eight North East States (NES) viz., Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura will be eligible for Admission for B.Ed. course at North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE), Shillong and for Four Year Integrated B.Sc.B.Ed. and B.A.B.Ed. Courses at RIE, Bhubaneswar. For other courses, the eligibility for applying will be limited to students coming under the jurisdiction of each RIE. For details, visit http://cee.ncert.gov.in/Public/PDF/DomicileAndRIEs.pdf Eligibility for admission to the various courses is as follows: B.Sc.B.Ed. and M.Sc.Ed: Applicant must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University/ Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in 2017, 2018 or should be appearing /appeared in 2019. Those seeking admission to Physical Science Group must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (M stands for Mathematics or Statistics) and those seeking admission to Biological Science Group (CBZ) must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) (B stands for Biology or Biotechnology) at +2 level. B.A. B.Ed: 




Applicant must have passed +2/ Hr. Secondary/ Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination in Science or Commerce or in Arts streams with at least 50% marks in aggregate (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PWD candidates) in 2017, 2018 or should be appearing /appeared in 2019. B.Ed: Those with at least 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree and /or in the Master's Degree in Science/ Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics or in Bachelor's Degree and/or in the Master's Degree in Social Science/ Humanities are eligible for admission to the programme. There is a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PWD applicants. 




M.Ed: Applicant should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade (relaxation by 5% for SC/ST/PWD Candidates) in one of (i)B.Ed (ii) B.A.B.Ed./ B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.B.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. (iii) B.El.Ed or should hold D.El.Ed with a Bachelor's degree in Arts/Science (With 50% marks in each), from any University / College / Institute recognized by affiliating universities. B.Ed- M.Ed (Integrated): Applicant should hold post graduate degree in science / social science/ humanities from a recognized institution with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade (relaxation by 5% for SC/ST/PWD candidates). Selection: Rank list for selection is prepared by giving 60% weightage for the marks in the Common Entrance Examination (CEE-2019) and 40% weightage for the marks in the qualifying exam. 




CEE: Common Entrance Examination will be held from 9 am to 11 am on 9.6.2019 at examination centres listed at http://cee.ncert.gov.in/Public/PDF/Exam_Center.pdf The examination will have 80 multiple choice questions from Language Proficiency (English) (20), Teaching Aptitude/Attitude (30) and Reasoning Ability (30). Each question carries 2 marks. Wrong answer(s) will carry negative marking of (minus) -0.5 marks each. Separate Questions will be administered for the following groups: Group-A: B.Sc.B.Ed./ B.A.B.Ed./ M.Sc.B.Ed (The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing higher secondary/senior secondary education); Group-B: B.Ed./B.Ed.-M.Ed.(Integrated). 




The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing graduation; Group-C: M.Ed.( The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing graduation and professional education level). Syllabus is given at http://cee.ncert.gov.in/Public/syllabus.aspx Based on this common entrance examination, separate Merit list will be prepared for different courses and different RIEs & Prarambh, School for Teacher Education, Jhajjar, Haryana Application: Applications for admission are to be submitted online at https:// cee.ncert.gov.in latest by 12.5.2019. As per the eligibility and interest a candidate can select more than one course to apply in. Application Fee: The fee for entrance examination is (i) General/OBC Category- Rs. 900/- (ii) SC/ST - Rs. 450/- (iii) PWD of any category -Rs. 450/-. Payment can be made online through Payment gateway.



This payment will be updated only after two working days in the server. Printout of Application Form: Once fee payment is through, applicant can print/save the application form. Those selected have to submit the printed application form along with all the enclosures including the photo copy of the mark sheet to the respective RIEs at the time of admission. Admit Card: Applicant may download their admit card from 20.5.2019 to 8.6.2019. Last date for submission of qualifying examination marks for 2019 appearing applicants of B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed./M.Sc.Ed. programme is 20th June, 2019. Last date for submission of qualifying examination marks for 2019 appearing applicants of B.Ed./B.Ed.M.Ed./M.Ed. programme is 8th July, 2019.
