மேட்டுப்பாளையத்தில் சர்ச்சைக்குரிய சுவர் இடிந்துவிழுந்து 17 பேர் மரணமடைந்த சம்பவம் நாட்டை உலுக்கிவரும் நிலையில், அந்தக் கொடூர விபத்தில் இறந்துபோன 3ம் வகுப்பு சிறுமி ஒருவரைப் பற்றிய தகவல் கேட்போரை உருகச் செய்கிறது. மேட்டுப்பாளையம் நடூர் நகராட்சித் துவக்கப் பள்ளியில் 3ம் வகுப்புப் படித்துவந்த சிறுமி அட்சயா குறித்த தகவல்தான் அது. அந்த அறிவான சிறுமி, நன்றாகப் படிப்பாராம். 

அவரின் எழுத்து மிகவும் அழகாக இருக்குமாம். டிசம்பர் 1ம் தேதி இரவு விபத்தில் சிக்கி அந்தச் சிறுமி இறந்த நிலையில், நவம்பர் 30ம் தேதி பள்ளிக்குச் சென்றுள்ள அவர், வகுப்பின் எழுத்துப் பலகையில் தமிழ் எழுத்துக்களை மிகவும் அழகான முறையில் எழுதி, அதை சக மாணாக்கர்களுக்கு படித்துக் காட்டியுள்ளார். ஆனால், அடுத்தவார துவக்கத்தில் வகுப்பறைக்கு மீண்டும் வருவார் என்றிருந்த நிலையில், அவரின் உயிரற்ற உடல் சுடுகாட்டிற்குத்தான் சென்றது. இதனால், அவரின் சக வகுப்பு மாணவ-மாணவிகள் நாள் முழுவதும் அழுதுள்ளனர். 

 மேலும், அவர் வகுப்பறை பலகையில் எழுதிய எழுத்துக்களை அவளின் நினைவாக அப்படியே அழிக்காமல் விட்டு வைத்துள்ளனர். அந்த எழுத்துக்களைப் பார்க்கையில், அவளையே நேரில் பார்ப்பதுபோல் இருப்பதாக, ஆசிரியை மற்றும் மாணாக்கர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர்!

That knowledgeable girl, well educated. Her writing is so beautiful. After the girl died in an accident on the night of December 1, she went to school on November 30 and wrote the classics on the writing board of the class in a beautiful manner and read it to her classmates. But her lifeless body went into the fire as she was expected to return to the classroom early next week. Thus, her fellow classmates-pupils wept all day. 

In addition, the writings she wrote on her classroom board have been left unchecked in her memory. Teacher and students say that looking at the alphabet is like seeing her in person!
