மழலையர் வகுப்புகளிலும், தொடக்கக்கல்வியிலும் மாணவர்களுக்கு பல்வேறு சிறப்புப் பயிற்சிகள், 12&ஆம் வகுப்புக்கு பிறகு எழுதவிருக்கும் நீட், ஐ.ஐ.டி கூட்டு நுழைவுத் தேர்வு, பொறியியல் படிப்புகளுக்கான நுழைவுத்தேர்வுகள் ஆகியவற்றுக்காக ஆறாம் வகுப்பிலிருந்தே கூடுதல் சிறப்பு பயிற்சி வகுப்புகள், 

மாணவர்களின் எடையை விட அதிக எடை கொண்ட புத்தகங்கள் என மாணவர்களுக்கும், ஆசிரியர்களுக்கும், பெற்றோருக்கும் மன உளைச்சலை ஏற்படுத்தக்கூடிய ஆயிரம் விஷயங்களை வைத்துக் கொண்டு பள்ளி வளாகங்களை கோபமற்ற, மகிழ்ச்சி நிறைந்த பகுதிகளாக மாற்ற வேண்டும் என்றால் அது ஏட்டில் மட்டுமே சாத்தியமாகும்; 

நடைமுறையில் சாத்தியம் ஆகாது. தாய்மொழியில் கல்வி வழங்குவதை தவிர்த்து விட்டு, ஆங்கில வழியில் கல்வி வழங்குவதை விட மோசமான தண்டனையை மாணவர்களுக்கு வழங்க முடியாது. அனிச்சையாக வரும் வார்த்தைகளையும், சிந்தனைகளையும் அடக்கிக் கொண்டு, தங்களுக்கு சம்பந்தமே இல்லாத இன்னொரு மொழியில் பேச வேண்டும்; 

சிந்திக்க வேண்டும் என்பது எவ்வளவு கொடுமையானது? சென்னை போன்ற நகரங்களில் குழந்தைகள் அதிகாலையில் உறக்கம் கூட கலையாமல் எழுந்து, நீராடி, போக்குவரத்து நெரிசலில் பல கிலோமீட்டர் தூரம் பயணித்து பள்ளிகளுக்கு செல்வது என்பதே பெரும் மனித உரிமை மீறலாகும்.

அதை ஊக்குவிக்கும் நிலைக்கு பெற்றோரும் தள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளனர். எதிர்பார்த்த மதிப்பெண் கிடைக்கவில்லை என்றால் மாணவர்களுக்கு விரக்தியும், ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு கோபமும், பெற்றோருக்கு மன உளைச்சலும் ஏற்படுவது இயற்கையாகி விட்டது. 

இந்த சூழலில் கோபப்பட வேண்டாம் என்று கூறுவதே ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு கோபத்தை ஏற்படுத்தக்கூடும். பள்ளிகள் கோபமற்ற, மகிழ்ச்சியாக பகுதிகளாக மாற்றப்பட வேண்டும் என்பதில் மாற்றுக்கருத்து இல்லை. 

ஆனால், அதற்கான தீர்வு கல்வி முறையை மாற்றியமைப்பதில் தான் இருக்கிறதே தவிர, வெறுமனே சுற்றறிக்கை அனுப்புவதில் இல்லை. உலகில் தரமான, சிறப்பான கல்வி பின்லாந்தில் தான் வழங்கப்படுகிறது. அந்நாட்டில் உள்ள பள்ளி வளாகங்கள் தான் கோபம் இல்லாத, மகிழ்ச்சி நிறைந்த பகுதிகளாக திகழ்கின்றன. 

இதற்குக் காரணம் அங்கு மழலையர் கல்வி இல்லை, ஆங்கில வழிக் கல்வி இல்லை, அதிக மதிப்பெண் எடுக்க வேண்டிய கட்டாயமோ, தரவரிசையோ இல்லை, வீட்டுப் பாடம் இல்லை, நுழைவுத்தேர்வுகள் இல்லை என்பது தான். இவ்வளவுக்குப் பிறகும் அங்கு படிப்பவர்கள் புத்திசாலிகளாகவும், சிந்திக்கும் திறன் கொண்டவர்களாகவும் உள்ளனர். 

ஆனால், இவ்வளவு இருந்தும் இந்தியக் கல்வி முறையில் பயில்பவர்கள் ஏட்டு சுரைக்காய்களாக மட்டும் தான் விளங்குகின்றனர். சுருக்கமாக கூற வேண்டுமானால், மலர்களாக கையாளப்பட வேண்டிய மாணவர்களை, மனிதர்களாகக் கூட கையாளாமல், மதிப்பெண் எந்திரங்களாக கையாளுவது தான் அனைத்துக்கும் காரணம் ஆகும். 

இந்த நிலையை மாற்ற வேண்டும்; அனைத்து நுழைவுத் தேர்வுகளையும் ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும்; கல்வியை சுகமானதாகவும், சுமையற்றதாகவும் மாற்ற வேண்டும். அதன்மூலமாகத் தான் பள்ளிகளை கோபம் இல்லாத, மகிழ்ச்சி நிறைந்த பகுதிகளாக மாற்ற முடியும் என்பதை அரசுகள் உணர வேண்டும். இவ்வாறு அந்த அறிக்கையில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருந்தது.
