295 நடுநிலைப் பள்ளிகள், உயர்நிலைப் பள்ளிகளாக தரம் உயர்வு-அமைச்சர் செங்கோட்டையன்

கடந்த 3 ஆண்டுகளில் 295 அரசு நடுநிலைப் பள்ளிகள், உயர் நிலைப் பள்ளிகளாக தரம் உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளதாக, பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை அமைச்சர் செங்கோட்டையன் கூறியுள்ளார்.

பேரவையில் கேள்வி நேரத்தின் போது, பத்மநாபபுரம் தொகுதியில் தோட்டவாரம் பகுதியில் உள்ள நடுநிலைப் பள்ளியை உயர்நிலைப் பள்ளியாக தரம் உயர்த்த அரசு நடவடிக்கை எடுக்குமா என உறுப்பினர் மனோ தங்கராஜ் கேள்வி எழுப்பினார்.

இதற்கு பதிலளித்த பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறை அமைச்சர் செங்கோட்டையன் 2016ஆம் ஆண்டில் இருந்து 2019ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை 295 அரசு நடுநிலைப் பள்ளிகள், உயர் நிலைப் பள்ளிகளாக தரம் உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளதாக கூறினார்.

குறைந்த பட்சம் 50 மாணவர்கள், 3 ஏக்கர் நிலம், ஒரு லட்சம் நிதி இருந்தால்தான் நடுநிலைப் பள்ளிகள், உயர்நிலைப்பள்ளிகளாக தரம் உயர்த்தப்படும் என்று தெரிவித்த அமைச்சர் செங்கோட்டையன்,

அரசு நிபந்தனைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்யாததால், தோட்டவாரம் பகுதியில் உள்ள நடுநிலைப் பள்ளியை உயர் நிலைப் பள்ளியாக தரம் உயர்த்தப்படவில்லை என்றார்.

ஐஐடி கல்லூரியில் உள்ள நுழைவு வாயில் மூடப்பட்டதால், வேளச்சேரி பகுதி மக்கள் நீண்ட தூரம் சுற்றி செல்லும் நிலை உள்ளதால், இந்த விவகாரத்தில் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என திமுக உறுப்பினர் வாகை சந்திரசேகர் கேள்வி எழுப்பினர்.

இதற்கு பதிலளித்த அமைச்சர் செங்கோட்டையன், உயர்கல்வித்துறை அமைச்சர் மற்றும் முதலமைச்சருடன் கலந்து பேசி, மூடப்பட்ட நுழைவு வாயிலை திறக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும் என்றார்.

295 middle schools and high schools have been upgraded.

During Question Hour, Member Mano Thangaraj questioned whether the government would take steps to upgrade the middle school in the plantation area of Padmanabhapuram constituency to a high school. In response, Sengottaiyan, Minister of School Education, said that from 2016 to 2019, 295 government secondary schools have been upgraded to high schools.

Minister Sengottaiyan said that if there were at least 50 students, 3 acres of land and one lakh funds, the middle schools would be upgraded as high schools, as the secondary school in the plantation area was not upgraded as a high school as the government conditions were not met.

DMK member Vaigai Chandrasekhar questioned if the entrance to the IIT College was closed and Velachery area people were traveling long distances. Responding to this, Minister Sengottaiyan, in consultation with the Minister of Higher Education and the Chief Minister, said steps would be taken to open the closed gateway.
