எட்டாம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்களுக்கு பள்ளி நேரத்தில் மட்டுமே சிறப்பு வகுப்புகள் நடைபெறும் என்றும் மாணவர்கள் விருப்பப்பட்டால் சிறப்பு வகுப்புகளில் பங்கேற்கலாம் என்று அமைச்சர் செங்கோட்டையன் தகவல் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். 

ஈரோடு மாவட்டம் நம்பியூரில் நடந்த நிகழ்ச்சி ஒன்றில் கலந்துகொண்ட பின்னர் செய்தியாளர்களிடம் பேசிய தமிழக பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை அமைச்சர் செங்கோட்டையன், 'தமிழகத்தில் அரசுப்பள்ளிகளில் கூடுதல் மாணவர்களை சேர்க்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. 

வரும் கல்வியாண்டில் அரசுப்பள்ளிகளில் கூடுதலாக 2 லட்சம் மாணவர்கள் சேர்க்கப்படுவார்கள். மேலும், மாணவர்களின் நலன்கருதி பல்வேறு வளர்ச்சித் திட்ட பணிகளும் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன. தேவையான அனைத்து கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளும் தமிழக அரசால் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வருகிறது. 

அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தை இரண்டாக பிரிப்பது குறித்து தனிக்குழுக்கள் அமைக்கப்பட்டு ஆய்வுப்பணி நடைபெற்று வருகிறது' என்று கூறினார். மேலும், 8ம் வகுப்பு பொதுத்தேர்வு மாணவர்களுக்கு கூடுதலாக 1 மணி நேரம் கூடுதல் சிறப்பு வகுப்பு வழங்கப்படுவது குறித்து பதிலளித்த அவர், 

8ம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்களுக்கு பள்ளி நேரத்தில் மட்டுமே சிறப்பு வகுப்புகள் நடைபெறும் என்றும் மாணவர்கள் விருப்பப்பட்டால் சிறப்பு வகுப்புகளில் பங்கேற்கலாம் எனத் தெரிவித்தார்.

Students can attend special classes if they wish: Minister Sengottaiyan

Minister Sengottaiyan informed that special classes will be held only for the eighth grade students during school hours and students can attend special classes if they wish. Speaking to reporters after attending a function held at Nampoir in Erode district, 

Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Senkottayan said, “Steps are being taken to add more students to government schools in Tamil Nadu. An additional 2 lakh students will be enrolled in government schools in the coming academic year. 

In addition, various development projects are underway for the benefit of the students. All necessary infrastructure facilities are being carried out by the Government of Tamil Nadu. He said that a committee is being set up to investigate the separation of Anna University. 

He also said that the special class will be offered to students of 8th grade for an additional 1 hour and that special classes will be held only during school hours and students can participate in special classes if they wish.
