பூமியை போல் மற்றொரு கிரகத்தை கண்டுபிடித்திருப்பதாக அமெரிக்காவை சேர்ந்த நாசா விண்வெளி ஆராய்ச்சி மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. கோடி கணக்கான கிரகங்கள் இருக்கும் விண்வெளியில் நாசாவின் இந்த கண்டுபிடிப்பு அனைவரையும் ஆச்சரியப்பட வைத்துள்ளது. 

இந்தியா உட்பட்ட உலகநாடுகள் அனைத்தும் மக்கள் வாழ மாற்று கிரகத்தை தேடி வரும் நிலையில் சூரியனில் இருந்து 100 ஒளியாண்டுகள் தொலைவில் இந்த புது கிரகத்தை நாசா கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளது.

மக்கள் வாழ மிகவும் அவசியமான நீர் இந்த கிரகத்தில் இருப்பதாகவும், பூமியை விட இந்த கிரகம் 200 மடங்கு பெரியது எனவும் கூறியுள்ளது. மேலும் சூரியனில் இருந்து பூமிக்கு சூரிய ஒளி கிடைப்பதுபோல் இந்த புது கிரகத்திற்கும் 87% சூரிய ஒளி கிடைப்பதாகவும் நாசா தெரிவித்துள்ளது. 

இந்த புது கிரகத்திற்கு TOI 700 d என பெயர் வைத்துள்ளது நாசா. இந்த கிரகம் பூமியை போல் தன்னை தானே சுற்றிக்கொள்வதாகவும், ஒருமுறை சுற்ற 37 நாட்கள் ஆவதாகவும் நாசா தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
