குறைந்த மாணவர் சேர்க்கையால் மூடப்படும் 11 பொறியியல் கல்லூரிகள்

சென்னை மாணவர் சேர்க்கை குறைந்து வருவதால் வரும்ஆண்டில் இருந்து மூடுவதற்கு 11 பொறியியல் கல்லூரிகள் அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகத்திடம் அனுமதி கோரி உள்ளன. தமிழகத்தில் உள்ள 557 பொறியியல் கல்லூரிகள் இயங்கி வந்தன.

இவற்றில் எம் பி ஏ மற்றும் எம் சி ஏ ஆகிய படிப்புக்கள் மட்டும் அளிக்கும் கல்லூரிகளும் அடங்கும். கடந்த 2019-20 ஆம் ஆண்டில் அந்த எண்ணிக்கை 537 ஆகக் குறைந்தது. இதைத் தவிர மேலும் இரு கல்லூரிகளில் ஒரு மாணவர் கூட சேராமல் இருந்தனர். அது மட்டுமின்றி பல

பொறியியல் கல்லூரிகளில் மாணவர் சேர்க்கை மிகவும் குறைந்துள்ளது. இந்த கல்வி ஆண்டு கலந்தாய்வின் போது 80க்கும் மேற்பட்ட கல்லூரிகளில் 10% இடங்கள் கூட நிரம்பவில்லை. குறிப்பாக சிவில், மெகானிகல் மற்றும் எலக்டிரிக்ல் பிரிவுகளில் சேர மாணவர்கள் விருப்பம் காட்டவில்லை.

இதனால் பல கல்லூரிகளில் இந்த பிரிவுகளில் ஒரு மாணவர் கூட சேராத நிலை ஏற்பட்டது. இந்த பிரிவுகளில் மொத்தம் 1400 பேர் மட்டுமே சேர்ந்துள்ளனர். எனவே பொறியியல் கல்லூரிகள் 8000 இடங்களைத் திரும்ப அளித்துள்ளனர்.

தற்போது மாணவர் சேர்க்கை மிகவும் குறைந்துள்ளதால் 11 பொறியியல் கல்லூரிகள் வரும் வருடம் முதல் மூடுவதற்க்கு அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகத்துக்கு விண்ணப்பம் அளித்துள்ளன. அதைத் தவிர 7 பொறியியல் கல்லூரிகள் முதலாம் வருட மாணவர் சேர்க்கையில் இருந்து விலக்கு அளிக்கக் கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளன.

நகரில் உள்ள தனியார் பொறியியல் கல்லூரி முதல்வர் ஒருவர், 'குறைந்தது 50% க்கும் குறைவான மாணவர் சேர்க்கை உள்ள கல்லூரிகளை நடத்துவது மிகவும் கடினமான ஒன்றாகும்.

அந்த கல்லூரிகளுக்கு சோதனைச்சாலை உள்ளிட்டவற்றை அளிக்க நிதி இருக்காது. அநேகமாக இவ்வாறு கல்லூரிகளை மூடுவது மேலும் இரு வருடங்களுக்குத் தொடரலாம்' எனத் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

11 engineering colleges have requested permission from the Anna University to close down student enrollment in the coming year. There are 557 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.
