தமிழகத்தில் 4 இடங்களில் புதிய விமான நிலையங்கள்: மத்திய அரசின் விளக்கம்

தமிழகத்தில் நெய்வேலி, ராமநாதபுரம், வேலூர், தஞ்சாவூர் ஆகிய இடங்களில் புதிய விமான நிலையங்கள் அமைக்கும் திட்டத்தை செயல்படுத்த விமான நிறுவனங்கள் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாக மத்திய அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

குறைந்த கட்டணத்தில் விமானப் போக்குவரத்துச் சேவை வழங்கும் உதான் திட்டத்தை மத்திய அரசு 2017ம் ஆண்டு கொண்டு வந்தது. குறைந்த கட்டணம், உள்நாட்டு பயணத்திற்கான விமான நிலையங்களை இணைத்தல் உள்ளிட்ட பல திட்டங்கள் உதய் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் வருகின்றன.

இந்நிலையில் மாநிலங்களவையில் மதிமுக பொதுச் செயலாளர் வைகோ எழுப்பிய கேள்விக்கு மத்திய அமைச்சர் ஹர்தீப் சிங் புரி விளக்கம் அளித்தார். அதில், தமிழகத்தில் நெய்வேலி, ராமநாதபுரம், வேலூர், தஞ்சாவூர் ஆகிய இடங்களில் புதிய விமான நிலையங்கள் அமைக்கும் திட்டத்தை செயல்படுத்த விமான நிறுவனங்கள் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
