Here's how to do it. Offline Google Maps To download offline maps, go to the Google Maps app on your phone - it will work on all phones, whether Android or iOS. Now tap on the menu icon in the upper left corner of the screen and press 'Offline Maps'. Specifically, in updated versions of Android, this menu has been moved to the user profile picture in the upper right corner near the search bar. So you need to consider that too. This will open a map with a blue box. In the blue box you can zoom in and scroll to the area you want to download. Make sure your offline maps are automatically set up to automatically update. If you do not want this, you can disable this option by going to Settings from the offline map.
