International Women's Day: A History of Painful History
International Women's Day is celebrated every year on March 8 by women all over the world. After the word celebration there is a history of struggles dating back a century. Women's Day History During the French Revolution of 1789, the women of Paris raised the flag. They also fought for the demands of women in this society, including demanding wages, 16 hours of work, and the right to vote. The struggle spread to European countries as well. The year 1900. The period when women were perceived to be solely for heirship and domestic work. Slowly, the minds of women began to awaken.
After 1907 the struggle became intense. 1910 World Socialist Women's Conference was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. At the convention, Clara Jetkin, a woman from Germany, urged women from all countries to create and celebrate Women's Day. He said that all issues faced by women should be documented, women should be given the right to vote as men and women should be given equal rights. However, he did not mention any single day, such as March 8. However, following her words, it was decided to celebrate World Women's Day.
Women's Day was celebrated on the last Sunday of every February, after a long day, February 28th. This was followed by 1975 as International Women's Year. In turn, the United Nations March 8 was declared World Women's Day. Two years later, in 1977, a similar resolution was passed. Why March 8th? Various reports are spreading on the internet about the celebration of women's day on March 8 But the real reason is that the Russian Woman Revolution began on that day. The world's first socialist revolution took place in Russia in 1917 under the leadership of Lenin. The revolution of female workers began on March 8. Male workers also attended, but women played the major role.
It was this revolution that caused the tsar to leave his throne. To commemorate it, March 8 was chosen. In some countries, including Russia, the holiday is celebrated on the occasion of International Women's Day. It is reported that female employees will only be given half a day's leave on March 8 in various parts of China. Worldwide, only half of working-age women work, according to the UN. Despite the physical fitness, ability and knowledge of labor, the number of women who go to work due to family circumstances is low.
Gender equality remains a staple, though there has been a significant shift in working women. Giving my daughter / wife all the freedom and permission to go to work is the development of a male-centric society. Many people who speak social justice do not understand or try to understand gender equality. The theme of this year is the theme of gender equality: understanding women's rights. This is a women's right, no man should be forced to do this. Men and women understand this. Gender equality will flourish and women will be denied rights.
