 தமிழர் திருநாளாம் பொங்கல் பண்டிகையை அனைத்து தரப்பு மக்களும் சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடும் வகையில் ஆண்டுதோறும் தமிழக அரசு சார்பில் அரிசி, சர்க்கரை, கரும்பு அடங்கிய பொங்கல் பரிசு தொகுப்புடன், ரொக்கப்பணமும் வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

அந்த வகையில், இந்த ஆண்டு பொங்கலுக்கு நிபந்தனைகள் இன்றி அரிசி அட்டைதாரர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் ரூ.1,000 பரிசுத்தொகை, 1 கிலோ பச்சரிசி, 1 கிலோ சர்க்கரை மற்றும் ஒரு முழு கரும்பு உள்ளடங்கிய பொங்கல் பரிசு தொகுப்பு வழங்கப்படும் என்று முதல்-அமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் நேற்று அறிவித்தார்.

அதன்படி, சர்க்கரை அட்டைதாரர்கள், பொருள் இல்லாத அட்டைதாரர்கள் தவிர்த்து மத்திய, மாநில அரசு ஊழியர்கள், வருமானவரி செலுத்துவோர், பொதுத்துறை நிறுவனங்களில் பணிபுரிவோர் யாராக இருந்தாலும் அரிசி அட்டைதாரராக இருந்தால் அவர்களுக்கு ரூ.1,000 பரிசு தொகை வழங்கப்படுகிறது. 

 இந்த நிலையில், சென்னை ஆழ்வார்பேட்டை ஸ்ரீராம் நகரில் உள்ள ஒரு ரேஷன் கடையில் பொங்கல் பரிசுத்தொகுப்பு மற்றும் ரூ.1,000 பணத்தை முதல்-அமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் வழங்கி இதனை தொடங்கி வைத்தார். இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் அமைச்சர்கள் சேகர்பாபு, மா.சுப்பிரமணியன், பெரிய கருப்பன், சக்கரபாணி மற்றும் அதிகாரிகள் உடனிருந்தனர். 

 அதைத் தொடர்ந்து, மற்ற மாவட்டங்களில் அமைச்சர்கள், எம்.பி., எம்.எல்.ஏ.க்கள் உள்ளிட்ட மக்கள் பிரதிநிதிகள், அதிகாரிகள் தொடங்கி வைக்க உள்ளனர். இதன் மூலம் 2 கோடியே 19 லட்சத்து 57 ஆயிரத்து 402 அரிசி ரேஷன் அட்டைதாரர்கள் பயன்பெற உள்ளனர்.

 இன்று (புதன்கிழமை) முதல் வருகிற 14-ந் தேதி வரை பொங்கல் பரிசு தொகுப்பு மற்றும் ரூ.1,000 பரிசுத்தொகையை ரேஷன் கடைகளில் அனைத்து அரிசி ரேஷன் அட்டைதாரர்களும் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளலாம் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

  In order to celebrate Pongal festival of Tamil people from all walks of life, every year Tamil Nadu government is giving Pongal gift package including rice, sugar and sugarcane along with cash.

Accordingly, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin announced yesterday that for this year's Pongal, all rice card holders will be given a Pongal gift package including Rs.1,000 prize money, 1 kg of sweet rice, 1 kg of sugar and a whole sugarcane.

Accordingly, Rs.1,000 prize money will be given to rice card holders, excluding sugar card holders, non-material card holders, central and state government employees, income tax payers, and employees of public sector organizations.

  In this situation, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin inaugurated it by presenting a Pongal prize package and Rs.1,000 cash at a ration shop in Sriram Nagar, Alwarpet, Chennai. Ministers Shekharbabu, M.Subramanian, Periya Karuppan, Chakrapani and officials were present in this program.

  After that, people's representatives including ministers, MPs, MLAs and officials in other districts are going to start. 2 crore 19 lakh 57 thousand 402 rice ration card holders are going to benefit through this.

  It has been informed that from today (Wednesday) till the 14th, all rice ration card holders can get Pongal gift package and Rs.1,000 prize money at ration shops.
