 தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள அரசு மற்றும் உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்புகளின் பள்ளிகளில் 8,643 இடைநிலை ஆசிரியர் பணியிடங்கள் காலியாக உள்ள நிலையில், அவற்றில் 1,500 பணியிடங்களுக்கு மட்டும் புதிய இடைநிலை ஆசிரியர்களை நியமிக்க பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை அனுமதி அளித்திருக்கிறது. அரசு பள்ளிகளை மேம்படுத்த குறைந்தது ஒரு லட்சம் ஆசிரியர்களை நியமிக்க வேண்டியுள்ள நிலையில், வெறும் 1,500 ஆசிரியர்களை மட்டும் நியமிப்பது கண்டிக்கத்தக்கது; 

இது அரசு பள்ளிகளை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கு பதிலாக சீரழித்துவிடும்.தமிழக அரசின் பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை சார்பில் நேற்று வெளியிடப்பட்ட அரசாணையில் தமிழக அரசு மற்றும் உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்புகளால் நிர்வகிக்கப்படும் தொடக்கப்பள்ளிகள் மற்றும் நடுநிலைப் பள்ளிகளில் 1,000 ஆசிரியர் நியமிக்க ஏற்கனவே அனுமதி அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நிலையில், இப்போது கூடுதலாக 500 ஆசிரியர்களை சேர்த்து 1500 ஆசிரியர்களை நியமிக்க அனுமதி அளிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதாக கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

மேலோட்டமாக பார்க்கும் போது 500 ஆசிரியர்களை கூடுதலாக நியமிக்க தமிழக அரசு அனுமதி வழங்கி இருப்பதைப் போலத் தோன்றும். ஆனால், உண்மையில் அரசு பள்ளிகளுக்குத் தேவையான ஆசிரியர்களில் ஒரு விழுக்காட்டினரைக் கூட நியமிக்க தமிழக அரசு தயாராக இல்லை என்பது தான் உண்மையாகும்.

தமிழ்நாடு அரசு பள்ளிகளுக்கு 2013-14ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குப் பிறகு கடந்த பத்தாண்டுகளாக இடைநிலை ஆசிரியர்களோ, பட்டதாரி ஆசிரியர்களோ நியமிக்கப்படவில்லை. இந்த காலத்தில் குறைந்தது 20,000 இடைநிலை ஆசிரியர்களும், 15,000 பட்டதாரி ஆசிரியர்களும் ஓய்வு பெற்றிருப்பர். 

ஆனால், இந்த விவரங்களை மறைத்து விட்டு 2023-24ஆம் ஆண்டில் தமிழ்நாட்டில் 8,643 இடைநிலை ஆசிரியர் பணியிடங்கள் மட்டுமே காலியாக இருப்பதாக அரசு அறிவித்தது. அதன்படி பார்த்தால் அந்த இடங்களையாவது நிரப்ப நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்க வேண்டும். 

ஆனால், ஆசிரியர் தேர்வு வாரியம் மூலம் 6,553 இடைநிலை ஆசிரியர்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படுவார்கள் என்று 2022 டிசம்பர் மாதத்தில் அரசு அறிவித்தது. ஆனால், 2023ஆம் ஆண்டு முழுவதும் அந்த ஆசிரியர்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படவில்லை. 

இப்போது அந்த எண்ணிக்கையையும் குறைத்து 1,500 ஆசிரியர்களை மட்டும் நியமிப்பது எந்த வகையில் நியாயம்? இது அரசு பள்ளிகளை எப்படி முன்னேற்றும்தமிழ்நாடு அரசு பள்ளிகளுக்கு 2013-14ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குப் பிறகு கடந்த பத்தாண்டுகளாக இடைநிலை ஆசிரியர்களோ, பட்டதாரி ஆசிரியர்களோ நியமிக்கப்படவில்லை.

More than one lakh teaching posts are vacant in Tamil Nadu: How will government schools progress? -

The appointment of only 1,500 teachers is reprehensible when at least one lakh teachers are required to be appointed to improve government schools;

This will deteriorate the government schools instead of improving them. In the order issued yesterday by the Tamil Nadu Government's Department of School Education, it has been said that permission has been given to appoint 1,000 teachers in primary schools and middle schools managed by the Tamil Nadu government and local bodies.

On the face of it, it seems that the Tamil Nadu government has given permission to appoint 500 additional teachers. But the reality is that the Tamil Nadu government is not ready to appoint even one percent of the teachers required for government schools.

Tamil Nadu government schools have not appointed either intermediate or graduate teachers for the last ten years after 2013-14. At least 20,000 secondary teachers and 15,000 graduate teachers will have retired during this period.

However, hiding these details, the government announced that only 8,643 secondary teacher posts are vacant in Tamil Nadu in 2023-24. According to that, action should have been taken to fill those places.
