Masters/Doctoral Admissions at SPA: Apply by February 27

School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Bhopal and School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Vijayawada, Institutions of National Importance, MHRD, Govt. of India, have invited applications for the Joint Entrance Test (JET)-2019, for admission to the Master's and Doctoral Programmes under various specializations of Architecture and Planning for the Academic Session 2019-20. Applications have also been invited for the Master of Design Programme at SPA Bhopal.

 The full time PG Programmes (2 year) and eligibility for admission are as follows: Architecture: SPA, Bhopal: (i) Master of Architecture (Conservation) (ii) Master of Architecture (Urban Design) (iii) Master of Architecture (Landscape). Applicant should hold a B.Arch/B. Plan. SPA, Vijayawada: (i) Master of Architectural (Architectural Conservation) (ii) Master of Architecture (Landscape Architecture) (iii) Master of Architecture (Sustainable Architecture) (iv) Master of Building Engineering and Management (MBEM): For M.Arch (AC), M.Arch (LA), M.Arch (SA): B.Arch. For MBEM: B.Arch / B.E. or B.Tech (Civil Engineering or Building & Construction Technology or Construction Engineering and Management or Construction Technology or Construction Technology & Management). Planning: SPA, Bhopal: (i) Master of Planning (Urban and Regional Planning) (ii) Master of Planning (Environmental Planning) (iii) Master of Planning (Transport Planning and Logistics Management) - For Master of Planning (Urban and Regional Planning) and Master of Planning (Environmental Planning): B.Arch./B.Plan./B.E.(Civil)/B.Tech. (Civil/Planning)/M.A. in Geography or Economics or Sociology. SPA, Vijayawada: (i) Master of Planning (Urban and Regional Planning) (ii) Master of Planning (Environmental Planning and Management) (iii) Master of Planning (Transportation & Infrastructure Planning)- For M.Plan (URP) and M.Plan (EPM): B.Planning / B.Arch / B.Tech (Planning or Civil Engineering) / B.E. (Civil Engineering) / Master's Degree in Geography or Economics or Sociology; For M.Plan (TIP): B.Planning / B.Arch / B.E. or B.Tech (Planning or Civil Engineering) / Master's Degree in Economics or Statistics or Operations Research. 

 For all Programmes, applicant should have passed the qualifying examination with at least 60% (or 6.5 CGPA/CPI) for General/OBC/EWS and 55% (or 6.0 CGPA/CPI) in case of SC/ST/PwD categories. Format of Joint Entrance Test: JET shall have a written paper consisting of objective and essay type questions based on the basic understanding of the specialization applied for and a viva-voce component. Design: SPA, Bhopal- Master of Design (2 year): B.Arch/B.Des/B.E./B.Tech./Graduate Diploma from NID or B.F.A. (with one year experience). Applicant should have passed the qualifying examination with at least 60% (or 6.5 CGPA/CPI) for General/OBC/EWS and 55% (or 6.0 CGPA/CPI) in case of SC/ST/PwD categories. 

 Admission to all seats in M. Des shall be made through a Design Aptitude Test and viva-voce to be conducted at SPAB. An applicant shall carry his/her portfolio/dissertation report at the time of viva-voce. Candidates with valid GATE/JRF/CEED score shall be given due weightage in the admission procedure. Scholarship based on GATE score will be limited based on GATE ranks and subject to institute policy for total number of eligible candidates. Those awaiting results can also apply by submitting a certificate towards 'Appearance in final examination' and 'Percentage of marks scored till pre-final semester', from their institute. The hard copy of the filled-in application form along with the self attested copy of marks sheets of 12th standard and qualifying examination, valid GATE/JRF/CEED score card, Birth and Caste Certificate, Professional Certificate and Certificates for extracurricular and co-curricular activities should reach 'The Assistant Registrar (Academics) School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal Neelbad Road, Bhauri Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh-462030', latest by 8th March, 2019; through Speed Post, in an envelope super-scribing 'Application for Admission to (name of the programme)' duly mentioning candidate's name with full postal address and the Registration number generated online. 

 List of eligible candidates with dates for entrance test will be published on SPAB /SPAV websites on 15th March 2019. Entrance test (written and viva) for all PG Programmes will be held between 29th and 31st March 2019. Entrance test (written and viva) for PhD Programmes will be on 15th April 2019. Results of Master's Programe will be declared on 15th April 2019 and that of Ph.D. Programme on 1st May 2019. The last date of admission for all PG Programmes and PhD Programmes is 10th May 2019. Registration will be from 22nd to 26th July, 2019. Classes commence on 29th July 2019.
