சூல் புதினத்துக்காக. சாஹித்ய அகாடமி விருது பெற்ற சோ.தர்மன்!

எழுத்தாளர் திரு. சோ.தர்மன் எழுதிய 'சூல்' புதினத்துக்கு 2019ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான சாஹித்ய அகாதெமி விருது வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள உருளைக்குடி, ராஜா காலத்து அரண்மனை அமைப்பிலிருந்து இன்றைய அரசாங்க அமைப்பாக மாறிய பரிமாற்றத்தை கிராமத்து நடையில் கதையாக்கியிருக்கும் படைப்பு- சூல். நிறைசூலியான கண்மாய் வறண்டு போனதைக் குறீயீடாகக் கொண்டு நகரும் புதினம். 1980களிலிருந்து எழுதி வரும் சோ.தர்மனின் (67) பூர்வீகம், கோவில்பட்டி அருகில் உள்ள உருளைக்குடி. 25 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாக பஞ்சாலைத் தொழிலாளியாக வேலை பார்த்திருக்கிறார். 

இவரது கதைகள் அடித்தள மக்களின் வாழ்வைப் பேசுபவை. 1992இல் இவரது முதல் சிறுகதை தொகுப்பு வெளியானது. பிறகு தூர்வை (புதினம்), சோகவனம் (சிறுகதை), வனக்குமாரன் (சிறுகதை), வில்லிசை வேந்தர் பிச்சைக்குட்டி பிள்ளை (மோனோகிராப்), சோ.தர்மன் சிறுகதைகள் முழு தொகுதி, கூகை (புதினம்) என்று தொடர்ந்து எழுதி வருபவர். இவரது 'கூகை' புதினம், தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் தமிழ் வளர்ச்சித் துறையின் 2005 ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான சிறந்த நூல் எனப் பரிசு பெற்றிருக்கிறது. தேசிய அளவிலான இலக்கிய அங்கீகாரம் குறித்து திரு. சோ.தர்மன், 'சாஹித்ய அகாதெமி விருது அறிவித்து மத்திய அரசு அங்கீகாரம் தந்தது மிகப் பெரிய மகிழ்ச்சி. நான் நடிகன் அல்ல, ஓர் எழுத்தாளன்; நான் சூரியகாந்தி போலல்லாமல் மூலிகை போல இருப்பேன்' என்று கூறி இருக்கிறார்.
