திருவண்ணாமலை: தமிழகத்தில் முதன்முறையாக இந்த கல்வி ஆண்டில், 5ம் வகுப்பு மற்றும் 8ம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்களுக்கு பொதுத் தேர்வு நடத்தப்படும் என பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை அறிவித்துள்ளது. இதுபோன்ற தேர்வு முறையால், மாணவர்கள் உளவியல் ரீதியான பாதிப்பு ஏற்படும் என கல்வியாளர்கள் கடும் எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்தனர். 

ஆனாலும், பொதுத்தேர்வு நடத்தும் முடிவில் இருந்து பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறை பின்வாங்கவில்லை. திட்டமிட்டபடி 5ம் வகுப்பு, 8ம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்களுக்கு பொதுத் தேர்வு நடத்துவதற்கான முன்னேற்பாடுகள் தீவிரமாக நடந்து வருகிறது.

பத்தாம் வகுப்பு மற்றும் பிளஸ் 1, பிளஸ் 2 பொதுத்தேர்வு எழுதும் பெரும்பாலான பள்ளி மாணவர்கள், தங்களுடைய சொந்த பள்ளிகளிலேயே தேர்வு எழுதுகின்றனர். ஆனால், முதன்முறையாக தேர்வு எழுதும் 5ம் வகுப்பு, 8ம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்களை வேறு பள்ளிகளுக்கு இடம்மாற்ற தேர்வு எழுத வைப்பது சரியல்ல என்று ஆதங்கப்படுகின்றனர். 

தற்போது நடத்தப்படும் பொதுத் தேர்வின் மூலம், தேர்ச்சி நிறுத்தி வைக்கப்படுவதில்லை என பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை தெரிவித்திருந்தாலும், மாணவர்களுக்கு இந்த புதிய நடைமுறை, கல்வி மீதான அச்சத்தை அதிகரித்து, பள்ளி இடைநிற்றலை அதிகரிக்கும் என கல்வியாளர்கள் எச்சரித்துள்ளனர்.

Educators have protested that such a system would have a psychological impact on students. However, the school education department has not backed down from the general election. 

Proceedings of the General Examination for Grade 5 and 8 students are underway as planned. In turn, the District Selection Committee is constituted, headed by the Chief Education Officer of each district. It includes the Regional Education Officers, Regional Resource Teachers and Instructors who are holding the general election. 

Also, first-time General Elections 5th and 8th grade students cannot write the exam in their own school. Examination Center has been set up in 5th grade students in another school one kilometer away and 8th grade students in another school 3km away. Its list is currently being prepared nationwide. 

In addition, the details of which centers will be written by the students in the centers, the examiner responsible, the question papers are prepared and sent to the Directorate of School Education. The question paper is to be printed according to the number of students writing the exam. Please send the printed questionnaires to the Principal Education Officer. 

The Department of Education has decided to send the CRC to schools where it is located. It is also reported that the editing of the answer sheet will take place at the center of the CD and the editors will go to the editing center and work on editing the answer sheet.

In this case, educators are concerned that placing elementary and middle school students in a different school, rather than allowing them to sit in their own school, can affect students at different levels, leading to difficulties in taking students to exam centers. 

Most school students who write the tenth grade plus the plus 1 and plus 2 electives write their own schools. However, it is not right to admit that it is not right for first-time students to write 5th and 8th grade exams. 

Although the school department has said that it will not be suspended by the current public exams, academics have warned that this new practice for students will increase fear of education and increase school suspension.
