இந்திய அரசியலமைப்பு சட்டத்தில் பிரிவு 112ன் படி, ஒவ்வொரு நிதி ஆண்டிலும் மத்திய அரசு பட்ஜெட் தாக்கல் செய்ய வேண்டும். 2017ல் இருந்து பட்ஜெட் பிப்ரவரி முதல் தேதி அன்று தாக்கல் செய்யப்படுகிறது.

இன்று சனிக்கிழமை தற்போதைய இந்திய நிதியமைச்சராக இருக்கும் நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் பட்ஜெட் தாக்கல் செய்ய உள்ளார். இந்திய பட்ஜெட் பற்றிய சுவாரஸ்யமான 10 தகவல்கள்:

இந்தியா காலணியாதிக்கத்தில் இருந்தபோது முதன் முதலில் 1860ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்தியாவுக்கு பட்ஜெட் தாக்கல் செய்தவர் ஜேம்ஸ் வில்சன். இவர் ஸ்டாண்டர்ட் சாட்டர்ட்வங்கியை நிறுவியவர் ஆவர்.

சுதந்திர இந்தியாவில் முதன்முதலில் பட்ஜெட் தாக்கல் செய்தவர் தமிழ்நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த ஆர்.கே. சண்முகம் செட்டியார். இவர் கோயம்புத்தூரை சேர்ந்தவர். நவம்பர் 26,1947 அன்று முதலில் தாக்கல் செய்தார். இந்திய பட்ஜெட்டை முதல் முதலாக தாக்கல் செய்த பெண் இந்திரா காந்தி ஆவார்.

ஜவஹர்லால் நேரு, இந்திரா காந்தி மற்றும் ராஜிவ் காந்தி ஆகிய ஒரே குடும்பத்தை சேர்ந்த மூன்று பிரதமர்களும், தங்கள் அமைச்சரவையின் நிதியமைச்சர் பதவியை தனியாக யார் பொறுப்பிலும் இல்லாத சமயத்தில் பட்ஜெட் தாக்கல் செய்துள்ளனர்.

இந்தியாவில் 10 முறை பட்ஜெட் தாக்கல் செய்தது மொரார்ஜி தேசாய். இவரே இதுவரை அதிக முறை பட்ஜெட் தாக்கல் செய்த இந்திய நிதி அமைச்சர் ஆவார். இவருக்கு அடுத்த இடத்தில் எட்டு முறை பட்ஜெட் தாக்கல் செய்தவராக சிதம்பரம் இருக்கிறார்.

பொருளாதார சீர்திருத்தம் செய்யப்பட்ட ஆண்டான 1991இல் மன்மோகன் சிங் தாக்கல் செய்ததுதான் மிக நீண்ட பட்ஜெட். அதில் 18,650 சொற்கள் இருந்தன. 1977ல் ஹெச்.எம் .படேல் தாக்கல் செய்த இடைக்கால பட்ஜெட் 800 வார்த்தைகளைக் கொண்ட மிகச் சிறிய பட்ஜெட் ஆகும்.

92 ஆண்டுகளாக தனியாக தாக்கல் செய்யப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்த ரயில்வே பட்ஜெட் 2017ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் மத்திய பட்ஜெட்டுடன் சேர்ந்து தாக்கல் செய்யப்படுகிறது. நான்கு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு ஒரு முறை பிறந்ததேதி வரும், மொரார்ஜி தேசாய் 1964ல் அவரது பிறந்த நாளான பிப்ரவரி 29 அன்று பட்ஜெட் தாக்கல் செய்தார்.

2001ல் அப்போதைய நிதியமைச்சர் யஷ்வந்த் சின்ஹா பட்ஜெட் தாக்கல் செய்யும் நேரத்தை மாலை 5 மணியிலிருந்து காலை 11 மணிக்கு மாற்றினார். அப்போதிலிருந்து காலை 11 மணிக்கே பட்ஜெட் தாக்கல் செய்யப்படுகிறது.
