காரைக்குடியில் வீட்டுக்குள் திருட நுழைந்த திருடரை பள்ளியில் இருந்தபடியே ஒரு தலைமை ஆசிரியர் பிடித்து போலீசில் ஒப்படைத்துள்ளார். நவீன தொழில்நுட்பங்களைச் சரியாக பயன்படுத்தினால் குற்றங்களை தடுக்க அது பேருதவியாக இருக்கும் என்பதை காட்டியுள்ளது காரைக்குடியில் நடந்த ஒரு சம்பவம்.

இவர் ஜெயங்கொண்டத்தில் உள்ள அரசு உயர்நிலைப்பள்ளியில் தலைமை ஆசிரியராக பணிபுரிந்து வருகிறார். வெள்ளிக்கிழமை பள்ளியில் ஆண்டுவிழா நடைபெற்றது. இதற்காக, மனைவி சகாயமேரியுடன் வீட்டைப் பூட்டி விட்டு பள்ளிக்கு சென்றுள்ளார். 

வீட்டில் சிசிடிவி கேமராகவும், இணையம் மூலம் அதை தனது மொபைல் போனில் பார்ப்பது போல அமல்ராஜ் இணைத்தும் இருந்தார். மாலை 7 மணி அளவில் பள்ளியில் இருந்தபடி தனது வீட்டின் சிசிடிவி கேமரா பதிவை தனது மொபைல் போன் மூலம் ஆய்வு செய்தார். 

அப்போது வீட்டின் பின்பக்கம் உள்ள சிசிடிவி கேமரா திரும்பி இருப்பதை தனது மொபைல் போன் மூலமாக பார்த்து அதிர்ந்து உள்ளார். பின்னர் மற்ற கேமராக்களை ஆய்வு செய்தபோது, திருடர் ஒருவர் வீட்டின் உள்ளே திருட வந்திருப்பது தெரிய வந்தது.

இதை அடுத்து உள்ளூரைச் சேர்ந்த நண்பரான தலைமை ஆசிரியர் லாரன்சை அமல்ராஜ் தொடர்பு கொண்டுள்ளார். தனது வீட்டுக்கு யாரோ திருட வந்துள்ளதாகவும், விரைந்து சென்று பார்க்குமாறும் கேட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ளார்.

இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து லாரன்ஸ் மற்றும் அவரது நண்பர்கள் வீட்டை சுற்றி வளைத்துள்ளனர். வீட்டில் உள்ள பொருட்களை திருடிக்கொண்டு சாவகாசமாக சுவர் ஏறி குதித்து தப்ப முயன்ற திருடர் சுற்றி ஆட்கள் நிற்பதை கண்டு அதிர்ச்சி அடைந்துள்ளார். 

பின்னர் திருட வந்த இளைஞரை சுற்றி வளைத்து, தர்ம அடி கொடுத்து காரைக்குடி போலீசாரிடம் ஒப்படைத்தனர்.அந்த இளைஞரிடம் போலீசார் நடத்திய விசாரணையில் அவர் நாகர்கோவில் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த 26 வயதான ராபின் குமார் என்பது தெரியவந்தது. 

மேலும் பல்வேறு குற்ற வழக்குகளில் தொடர்பு உடையவர் என்றும் தெரிந்ததால் தொடர்ந்து அவரிடம் போலீசார் விசாரணையில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர். நவீன தொழில்நுட்பத்தை முறையாகப் பயன்படுத்தி தனது வீட்டில் நடைபெற இருந்த திருட்டை தடுத்ததுடன், 

பல்வேறு குற்ற வழக்கில் தொடர்புடைய குற்றவாளியை பிடித்துக்கொடுத்த தலைமை ஆசிரியருக்கு பாராட்டுகள் குவிந்து வருகிறது.
