பூமியிலிருந்து 124 ஆண்டுகள் தொலைவில் உள்ள K2-18b என்றழைக்கபடும் எக்ஸோபிளானட் கிரகமானது பூமிக்கும் நெப்டியூனுக்கும் இடையே உள்ளது. இது பூமியை விட கணிசத்தில் பெரியதாகவும் நெப்டியூனை விட சிறியதாகவும் காணப்படுகிறது. 

இதன் ஆரம் 2.6 மடங்கு மற்றும் பூமியின் நிறை 8.6 மடங்கு ஆகும். K2-18b கிரகமானது K2-18 என்ற சிவப்பு நடசத்திரத்தை சுற்றி வரும் நிலையில் மனித வாழ்விடத்திற்கு சரியான தூரத்தில் இருப்பதாகவும் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். 

வளிமண்டலத்தின் அளவும், அதன் அடிபகுதி நிலைகளும் தெரியாத நிலையில் வளிமண்டலத்தில் ஹைட்ரஜன் நிறைந்த நீர் நீராவி இருப்பதாகவும் வானியலாளர்கள் கண்டறிந்துள்ளனர். 

எக்ஸோபிளானட் கிரகத்தில் ஹைட்ரஜன் உறைகளின் தடிமன் மற்றும் ஆழத்தினை கண்டறிந்ததில் அதன் அதிகபட்ச அளவு 6 சதவீதமாகும் என்று உறுதி செய்துள்ளனர். வளிமண்டலத்தில் கணிசமான அளவு நீராவியுடன் ஹைட்ரஜன் அதிகம் இருப்பதால் அம்மோனியா,

மீத்தேன் போன்ற வேதிப்பொருட்களின் அளவு குறைவாகவே இருக்கும். இதற்கு உயிரியல் செயல்பாடுகளே காரணமாக இருக்க முடியும் என்பதை ஆராய்ந்து வருகின்றனர். வளிமண்டலத்தின் கலவை மற்றும் கட்டமைப்பை விரிவுபடுத்தி கட்டுபடுத்துவதற்கு வளிமண்டல கலவை,

The exoplanet planet K2-18b, 124 years away from Earth, lies between Earth and Neptune. It is significantly larger than Earth and smaller than Neptune. Its radius is 2.6 times that of Earth and 8.6 times the mass of the Earth. The planet K2-18b is said to be at the right distance to human habitat as it circles the red galaxy K2-18.

Astronomers have found hydrogen-rich water vapor in the atmosphere, as the size of the atmosphere and its underlying conditions are unknown. Detecting the thickness and depth of hydrogen shells on the exoplanet has confirmed that its maximum size is 6 percent. Hydrogen is high in the atmosphere with considerable vapor, so chemicals such as ammonia and methane are low. They are exploring the possible causes of biological activity.

Atmospheric composition, size and color have been observed to expand and constrain the composition and structure of the atmosphere. Using numerical modeling and statistical methods, they controlled the internal structure and thermodynamics of the atmosphere. Exoplanet K2-18b has no evidence that humans are in a state of existence, according to future observations by astronomers James Webb.
