ஊட்டி அரசு தாவரவியல் பூங்காவில், நடப்பாண்டு மலர் கண்காட்சிக்காக பல லட்சம் மலர்கள் தயார்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. கொரோனா தடுப்பு நடவடிக்கையாக தாவரவியல் பூங்கா சுற்றுலா பயணிகள் வர தடை விதித்து பூட்டப்பட்டது. நடப்பாண்டு மலர் கண்காட்சி ரத்து செய்யப்பட்டது.

அலுவலர்கள் கூறுகையில், 'மலர் கண்காட்சிக்காக பல ஆயிரம் மலர் தொட்டிகள் தயார்படுத்தியுள்ள நிலையில், மலர் கண்காட்சிநடத்த வாய்ப்பில்லை என்பதால், எங்கள் ஆறுதலுக்காக, கொரோனா விழிப்புணர்வு பூந்தொட்டி வைத்தோம்' என்றனர்.

At the Ooty State Botanic Gardens, lakhs of flowers have been prepared for the annual flower show. As a preventive measure, the Botanic Gardens have been locked up by tourists. The current flower fair has been canceled.

The ready-made flowers in the park were wasted. Following the order of Assistant Horticulture Officer Radhakrishnan, under the direction of Horticulture Associate Director Sivasubramanya Samraj, more than 50 park staff have decorated the park with four flower pots with 5,000 flower pots.

Officials said, "For our comfort, we have put on a Corona awareness booth as there are many thousands of flower pots ready for the flower show."
