இதன்மூலம் மின்சார வாகனங்களுக்கு மானியம் உள்ளிட்ட சலுகைகள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன. இதன் காரணமாக மாநிலத்தில் மின்சார வாகனங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை 2015 முதல் அதிகரித்துள்ளது. மாநிலத்தில் மின் வாகனங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை 2015 இல் 27 ஆக இருந்தது. தற்போது இந்த எண்ணிக்கை ஆகஸ்ட் 23ஆம் தேதி நிலவரப்படி 1,02,334 ஆக அதிகரித்துள்ளது. இந்த நிலையில் கேரளத்தில் 1 லட்சமாவது மின்சார வாகனப் பதிவினை அம்மாநில மோட்டார் வாகனத் துறை நேற்று கொண்டாடியது. திருவனந்தபுரத்தில் நடந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் 1,00,000வது வாகனமாக பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட எலக்ட்ரிக் ஸ்கூட்டரின் சாவியை, கொண்டோட்டியைச் சேர்ந்த கிரண் கே.பியிடம், போக்குவரத்து துறை அமைச்சர் ஆண்டனி ராஜு வழங்கினார். அப்போது, மாநிலத்தில் மாசு இல்லாத பசுமை எரிபொருளை ஊக்குவிக்கும் கொள்கையை அரசு கொண்டுள்ளது என்றார்.
