புத்தகங்களுடன் புத்தாண்டு இயக்கம் 

புத்தாண்டு நாளைப் புத்தகங்களுடன் கொண்டாடும் கலாச்சாரத்தை உருவாக்கும் வகையில், உருவான ‘புத்தகங்களுடன் புத்தாண்டு இயக்கம்’ இந்த ஆண்டு பெரிய அளவில் விரிந்திருக்கிறது. முக்கிய நகரங்களில் மட்டுமே இதுவரை நடந்துவந்த சூழல் மாறி, சென்னை தொடங்கி குமரி வரை நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட ஊர்களில் இந்த ஆண்டு புத்தக இரவுக் கொண்டாட்டம் நடக்கிறது. புத்தக விலையில் 10% முதல் 50% வரை பதிப்பகங்கள் தள்ளுபடியை அறிவித்திருக்கின்றன. 

 புத்தாண்டு அன்று வாசகர்கள் வெளியில் சந்திக்கும் முதல் நபருக்கும், ஏனைய நண்பர்களுக்கும் புத்தகங்களைப் பரிசளித்துப் புத்தாண்டு வாழ்த்துச் சொல்ல வேண்டும். இப்படி ஒரு இயக்கத்தை ‘இந்து தமிழ்’ முன்மொழிந்ததும் ‘தென்னிந்தியப் புத்தக விற்பனையாளர்கள் மற்றும் பதிப்பாளர்கள் சங்கம்’ (பபாசி) ஆர்வத்தோடு தன்னையும் இதில் இணைத்துக்கொண்டது. 

ஐந்தாவது ஆண்டாக இந்த ஆண்டும் ‘புத்தகங்களோடு புத்தாண்டு இயக்கம்’ விரிவான ஏற்பாடுகளோடு களைகட்டியிருக்கிறது. தென்னிந்தியப் பதிப்பாளர்கள் மற்றும் புத்தக விற்பனையாளர்கள் சங்கம் (பபாசி) வழக்கம்போல மாநிலம் முழுவதும் உள்ள புத்தக விற்பனையாளர்களிடம், “குறைந்தபட்சம் 10% தள்ளுபடி வழங்குங்கள்; டிச.31 காலை தொடங்கி ஜன.1 இரவு வரை கடைகளைத் திறந்துவைப்பதற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளைச் செய்திடுங்கள்” என்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது. இது நீங்கலாக, பதிப்பாளர்களும் புத்தக விற்பனையாளர்களும் தத்தமது அளவில் தனித்தனி திட்டங்களுடன் களத்தில் இறங்கியிருக்கிறார்கள். 

 தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதும் குறைந்தபட்சமாக நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட இடங்களில் டிசம்பர் 31 நள்ளிரவில் புத்தகக் கடைகளைத் திறந்துவைப்பதற்கான, வாசகர்களும் எழுத்தாளர்களும் கலந்துரையாடுவதற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளைச் செய்திருக்கிறது முன்னணிப் பதிப்பகங்களில் ஒன்றான பாரதி புத்தகாலயம். 10% - 50% தள்ளுபடியையும் அறிவித்திருக்கிறது. 

சென்னை, செங்கை, கடலூர், திருவண்ணாமலை, வேலூர், கோவை, ஈரோடு, நீலகிரி, திருப்பூர், தர்மபுரி, விருதுநகர், மதுரை, திருநெல்வேலி, தேனி, திண்டுக்கல், திருச்சி, கரூர், தஞ்சை, சிவகங்கை, திருவாரூர், கன்னியாகுமரி ஆகிய ஊர்களில் கொண்டாட்டத்துக்குத் திட்டமிட்டிருக்கிறது ‘பாரதி புத்தகாலயம்’. இன்னொரு முன்னணி நிறுவனமான ‘நியூ செஞ்சுரி புக் ஹவுஸ்’ சென்னை, திருவண்ணாமலை, விழுப்புரம், வேலூர், கோயம்புத்தூர், ஈரோடு, ஊட்டி, ஓசூர், கிருஷ்ணகிரி, மதுரை, திருநெல்வேலி, திண்டுக்கல், தஞ்சாவூர், புதுக்கோட்டை, பாண்டிச்சேரி ஆகிய ஊர்களில் கொண்டாட்டத்துக்குத் திட்டமிட்டிருக்கிறது. கோவையில் ‘விஜயா பதிப்பகம்’, பொள்ளாச்சியில் ‘எதிர் பதிப்பகம்’ பிரத்யேகமாகக் கொண்டாடவிருக்கின்றன. இது தவிர, வேறு பல பதிப்பகங்களும் கரம்கோத்திருக்கின்றன. மேலும், புத்தக இரவுக் கொண்டாட்டத்தில் குழந்தைகளைக் கதைசொல்ல வைக்கவும், புத்தக விமர்சனம் செய்யச் சொல்லவும் திட்டமிட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.
