மனிதனை போல் உணர்வுகளை முகபாவனையால் வெளிகாட்டக்கூடிய முதல் ரோபோவை ஜப்பான் விஞ்ஞானிகள் உருவாக்கி அசத்தியுள்ளனர். 2011 ஆம் ஆண்டு சிறுவன் போன்ற தலையுடன் கூடிய ரோபோ ஒன்றை உருவாக்கி முகபாவனைகளை வெளிகாட்டும் வகையில் ஒசாகா பல்கலைக்கழக விஞ்ஞானிகள் குழு வடிவமைத்தது. 

அபெட்டோ (Affetto) என பெயரிடப்பட்ட இந்த ரோபோவில் தொடுதல் மற்றும் வலியை உணரும் சென்சார்களை புகுத்தி, தற்போது புதிய சாதனையை விஞ்ஞானிகள் புரிந்துள்ளனர். 

இதன் மூலம் மென்மையான தொடுதலுக்கும் கடுமையான தாக்குதலுக்கும் இடையிலான வேறுபாட்டைக் கண்டறிந்து ரோபோவால் முகபாவனை காட்ட முடியும்.

Japanese scientists set the record for the first robot that can emulate human emotions

Scientists in Japan have developed the first robot that can emulate human emotions. In 2011, a team of Osaka University scientists designed a boy-like robot to reveal facial expressions. The robot, named Affetto, is now in the process of injecting touch-and-pain sensors, and scientists now understand the new record. This allows the robot to detect the difference between a soft touch and a severe attack.
